SUFFERING IN SILENCE
It's been quite a while since i last updated my blog.Couldn't find the time or jus too tired to blog. It's all due to the life of an NSF.Jus suffering in SISPEC..the real toture started this week where all the outfield trainings, operation missions are on the go.Going thru section movement, learning the different drills like ambush, charging, sniper, artillery, aircarft..etc. on how we gonna react if all these scenarios happen.Actually nth wrg wif it..it's interesting n fun but the terrian where we train jus really sucks to the core.Full of rocks, glass, tiles in the midst of the vegetation...Tress planted are also screwed up..Dunno how to put those moments of torture n sufferings into words..Jus imagine going into Lower Mandai at the nature forest to roam ard finding check points with us taking turns to carry a signal set or a field pack weighing 15kg.Manovering up n down the hill, treking thru thick vegetation where no one have bash thru b4 throughout the whole day in the midst of heavy rain, hot sun.WHen night falls, we bashed blindly in the dark with map, compass, pacer n a stupid small torch.A sergeant with a GPS following us..can even get lost inside..Getting back 1am plus in the morning, waking up at 5am to commence the following day training.
All these trainings really push mi to the limit..both mentally & physically. Some said tat i will be much fitter which is quite true. Can clock2.4km run under 9.30min.However, most pple didn't realise one thing tat physical fitness & combat fitness are two different things.Have been doing lots of thinking on where i wish to go after passing out frm BLSC in a month's time.Seriously till now..i got no idea.Jus feel damn confused n lost.Instructors there are a bunch a pple who have no brains..doing things tat dun make sense, not efficient at all, no good communication within them which cause few changes of instructions within minutes which jus bring inconvience to us. Things they do jus dun make sense.
Wat's on my mind is for the coming long break..Chinese New Year..Jus need a long good break..to spend time wif family n friends. However i have to go thru the coming week of hell first.Being appointed as a section commander where i have to lead my section during the section movements in the field.Sounds fun but doing it is a totally different experience.Wat's worse my appoinment falls during those important missions like Operation Catwalk, Operation Wanderer etc. It's a quite a "heavy load" on the arm to put on the 3 golden stripes armband on my arm.Jus hope everthing goes smoothly during my appoinment days.

Being posted to command school where one is trained to be a future commander is a total different feeling. The treatment and culture is so much diff frm BMTC.For the past two weeks, i have been going thru lots of thinking of wat i reallie want to achieve or to do aft SISPEC.My best pal in BMT has been encouraging mi to become platoon best in ALPHA company so tat i can cross over to OCS which i wanted to go in there badly. However, thinking of the fact have to go thru field camps n SOC jus turned mi off.Initially, i was very motivated when i did my first IPPT CAT test.CLock 9.41min for my 2.4km run and pass my broad jump..I was so happy and morale was real high but subsequent with SOC in...I jus feel not motivated to go thru any trainings..Jus go thru the tests, lectures for the sake of doing it.The attitude is real different frm wat i used to have.I jus thinking of getting to a slack vocation after passing out frm Basic Section Leader Course (BSLC)..Even personally i dun even noe wat i want.
Looking thru the training programmes for the rest of the course jus turned mi off. It's so packed and will get to book out only on late sat.I can't even find any one day to take half day off to go for my physio appoinment. It's jus packed with impt lessons n tests which couldn't be miss. Now i jus feel my NS life is so sucks...can't wait to ORD.Gtg sign off here..have to book in at 8pm..Shall update more when i'm back
